The language is clear and accessible, but there is no referencing or evidence linked to the discussion points. However, I think the balance is generally good on making sure people understand the positive and negative attitudes towards GM tech. BUT they do not emphasise that most scientists do not think GM is going to be harmful for onward food consumption.

The article addresses an important issue which often raises public concerns due to the unfamiliarity and historical associations of genetic alterations, particularly when they relate to something so critical to our health - i.e. food.

The article does not sufficiently explain the advantages of gene editing. The brief explanations of different types of DNA alterations are confusing, poorly evidenced and add little to the story.
