1.Evidence: The content of the article is accurate however the headline "For the first time, scientists pinpoint the brain cells behind depression" and sub-headline: "Scientists have identified the brain cells behind depression, bringing new hope for targeted treatments" is misleading and overstates the findings by implying causation which the study could did test for (e.g., it may be that depression affected the specific brain cell types, rather than the other way around which the headline suggests).

2. Balance: The article would benefit from more discussion of the studies limitations, e.g,. differences between cases and controls may have been influenced by other factors outside of depression (although the groups were similar in age, ethnicity, batch, tissue pH and post-mortem interval), or that the sample were all of European genetic ancestry which limits the generalisability of the findings to other genetic ancestries.

3. Clarity: The article is written clearly and explains the science well.
