The article is more about how social media influencers can drive trends rather than describing scientific evidence around this question. It does at least link to NHS info about nutrient intake, and emphasise that influencers may be biased by commercial incentives, but at the same time devotes several paragraphs to an anecdotal description from one user. To counter these claims it relies entirely on quotes from two nutritionists, rather than providing any overview about what scientific evidence exists in this area (e.g. randomised controlled trials testing the effect of magnesium on some of the symptoms listed). Given the known side-effects associated with taking too much magnesium, and lack of evidence provided for the suggested benefits, it seems irresponsible to include one nutritionist's suggestion to take half the recommended dose in the article.
