Needlessly sensationalist account of what is indeed a current conflict in cosmology, namely the Hubble tension. The balance is skewed: the something-is-fundamentally-wrong point-of-view is pushed right from the start, using words like "befuddled" or "crisis", while the very real other possibility that there is something wrong e.g. with supernovae of type Ia as standard candles is relegated to a much later part of the main text, and only receives a short and very abstract decision. No wonder it is also absent from what is a very clickbait-ey headline.
