Single vaccine could protect against all coughs, colds and flus, researchers say

The article describes a potential new method develop immunity through an universal vaccine. The article misses to explain how normal vaccines work; vaccines normally introduce a foreign body that can be part of a pathogen allowing the immune system to recognise it and respond faster, also preventing more virulent responses. Normally, these elements are tailored to a particular pathogen, which contrast with the new vaccine which pre-emptively activates the immune system. The article doesn't show any numbers from the test-groups but they properly reflect the pros and cons of this new method. The title of the article is a bit misleading, giving the impression it may be already tested in humans, whereas it is in the early stages of development.

The research presented in this news article demonstrates how the declines in sardine numbers is impacting African penguin diet and directly influencing their declines. There is a high level of evidence throughout the article making sure to reference the paper and key marine issues. Also, the article avoids presenting a bias within the information provided. The statistics at the beginning of the article can be misleading with the use of percentages and large numbers when conveying to the general public. It can be simply said that over 60000 birds died over the period of 8 years, representing about 95% of the total number of birds that chose to breed.
